When you consider a Signarama franchise, you might be curious as to our history. How did we get our start and come to open more than 600 stores worldwide since then? Read on to learn more.

New York Beginnings

Signarama was established in 1986 in Farmingdale, New York. Father and son team Roy and Ray Titus found much success with the first location and decided to open a second location in North Palm Beach, Florida. The following year, Signarama began franchising and has since grown to a number of locations in over 30 countries around the world.

Becoming a Global Leader

In 1996, Signarama opened their 300th store. The following year, master licenses were granted to New Zealand and Panama, and in 1999, the first Signarama opened in Asia, furthering our global footprint. The year 2005 represented a banner year, as we celebrated 750 Signarama franchise locations, and United Franchise Group (UFG) was formed.

UFG is a family of successful business-to-business franchise systems that includes Signarama. Together, the conglomerate houses 12 brands with over 1600 locations and more than 30 decades of experience in the franchising industry: Accurate Franchising, Inc., Experimax, Franchise Real Estate, Fully Promoted, Graze Craze, Jon Smith Subs, Network Lead Exchange, ROI, Signarama, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, Transworld Business Advisors, and Venture X.

Continued Franchise Success

The Signarama franchise investment model continues to be a success. With our backing by UFG, along with our turnkey investment, training, and support, and more, we help welcome new franchise owners into the industry with plenty of opportunities. Signarama is proud to be named the number one sign franchise and ranked number 74 on the Franchise 500 list by Entrepreneur Magazine.

One of the best parts of owning a Signarama franchise is that the possibilities are endless in more ways than one. For starters, we work with local businesses of all sizes, providing an essential service to your community and helping other businesses flourish.

We work with non-profits and religious groups to entice people to volunteer, purchase, or donate to their organizations. Schools and universities have found Signarama especially helpful when it comes to key signage, team victories, prom, teacher recognition, announcements, parking signs, directional signs, and enrollment incentives.

That’s not all – there are many other industries that we work with that have found our help to be vital. Whatever your business, Signarama can help take it to the next level.

A Future with Signarama

Signarama is constantly looking to the future by investing in further research and development efforts. The world of technology is rapidly expanding, and we stay abreast with what our customers need. We provide our customers with the choice to opt for digital signage as a way to attract more customers and deliver content using futuristic projection. We’re also investing in 3D printing technology for three-dimensional letters and signage and have recently incorporated Braille capabilities into our repertoire.

As the world continues to move forward, so does Signarama. Opening a Signarama franchise is a great way to become part of an industry-leading opportunity that sets you up for success.
